Five people were killed and two others were wounded on Sunday evening when during a car race one of the cars crashed into the spectators standing on a footpath in Rawat area of Rawalpindi. According to police, one car went out of control of the driver and smashed against a footpath. One person in the car died while four bystanders were killed, including one child.
Two of the wounded were shifted to a nearby hospital where their condition was reported to be stable.
