'Rescue 15 handled 168,028 calls in November'

Rescue 15 received 168,028 calls during last month (November) and provided immediate assistance to the people in distress, a police spokesman said. In response to these calls, 325 persons were provided miscellaneous assistance, 66 persons were provided medical treatment, eight children and old citizens were reunited with their families, 32 crime spots were visited and evidences were collected by Forensic Science Laboratory.
Similarly, fire was extinguished at six spots, while 485 vehicles were verified through Vehicle Verification Desk. Rescue 15 is delivering valuable services for the cause of humanity and helping people out during stressed situation, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Industrial Area Jameel Ahmed Hashmi while talking to Rescue 15 officials.
He appreciated the services of Rescue 15 and directed the force to maintain its quality. He asked in charge Rescue 15 DSP Safeer Hussain Bhatti to make concerted efforts to ensure force's timely arrival at the incident spot. In case of injury, the injured persons should be given first aid.
Hashmi said the officers and officials of Rescue 15 should discharge their duties with zeal and zest and bring changes to the force according to changing requirements to ensure maximum relief to the citizens and to bridge the gap between police and public.
