Islamabad Police's Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Property Wing has arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in dacoities, recovering two 30-bore pistols, golden ornaments, three mobile phones from their possession, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police on Thursday.
He said that unidentified persons entered the house of Arshad Ali Khan at Street 40 in sector I-8/2 and looted the valuables, including mobile phones and golden ornaments after making family hostage at gunpoint. A case was registered at Industrial area police station.
The SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan assigned the task to DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon to arrest the culprits. A special team under his own supervision, raided hideouts of the culprits and arrested four persons identified as Muhammad Aman, Muhammad Irfan, Sajid Ali and Zafar Abbass.
Police spokesman said that during the preliminary investigation, the detained outlaws confessed that they committed dacoity at the house of Atta Ullah Rajar, Bureau Chief of a regional TV channel in G-6/1 Islamabad. A case was registered against them at Aabpara police station. Police team also recovered two 30 bore pistols, three mobile phones and golden ornaments from their possession. Further investigation is underway. Tahir Alam Khan appreciated the performance of the police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates.
