Human Rights Day: Sindh University students, faculty members stage a walk

The teachers and students of Institute of Women Development Studies, University of Sindh organised a walk in connection with international Human Rights Day, here on Friday. The walk was led by Director Institute of Women Development Studies (IWDS), Dr Misbah B. Qureshi.
The walk started from IWDS, which was joined by the faculty members and students of the department of Zoology, Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Dr M.A Kazi Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, Department of Library and Information Science and other institutes and departments.
Participants of the walk raised slogans for provision of human rights and said that the society should take care of rights of every human. They said that there could be no human rights without women rights, as women are playing a key role to develop the family unit as well as serving society side by side with men. The walk ended at Allama I.I.Kazi Central Library.
Pro Vice Chancellor of Sindh University Campus Badin, Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Sindh Dr Parveen Shah, Dr Khalida Jamali, Provost Marui Girls Hostel, Dr Qamar Jahan Mirza, Director Sindh Development Study Centre, Dr Abida Tahrani, and faculty members Aftab Rajar, Ameer Buriro, Ms Dure Shahwar, Ms fNajma Gopang were among the participants.
