Managing Director Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) HDA, Hyderabad has prepared a contingency plan to ensure efficient services to the citizens of three urban talukas during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to the plan, normal hours of main water supply pumping stations have been enhanced in addition to arranging water tankers. Also, desilting of main nallahs (drains) in all three urban talukas, covering of open manholes, removal of accumulated sewage water along the routes of mourning processions, Imam Bargahs and Mosques have also been made to avoid any difficulties to the citizens. Emergency centres have also been established at all divisional offices of Wasa for handling the complaints.
