PN Chief of Staff visits Sir Creek areas

Pakistan Navy's Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Asif Sandila visited the Forward Operating Bases in the areas of Sir Creek, Shah Bunder and Chur Jamali on Tuesday. A Navy press release here said that the Admiral was given a detailed briefing on the issues in the area and PN operational capabilities. It said that he also met with the officers and troops deputed there.
Vice Admiral Sandila also visited Sujawal where he inaugurated the second phase of Naval model village for flood affectees. In this phase, 40 houses will be constructed for the homeless families. On the occasion, Commander Marines gave a detailed account of the rehabilitation plan. He apprised the audience that construction of phase-II will complete within 6 to 8 weeks.
Later, Chief of Staff visited the houses built during the first phase. He also interacted with the displaced families and shared their problems. He assured the IDPs of Pakistan Navy's continued support till their complete rehabilitation. While talking on the occasion Admiral Asif told that the land for model village has been bought by PN through own resources. Upon completion of construction, ownership of the houses would be transferred to the IDPs.
