Monitoring of city in Muharram: police take control of CDGK's Command, Control Room

Karachi Police have taken the control of "Command and Control Room" of City District Government Karachi (CDGK) to monitor the city during Muharram-ul-Haram, here on Wednesday. Asif Razzaq, Superintendent of Police (SP) Operation II has taken the charge of the CDGK's Command and Control Room and started monitoring the city.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi, Fayyaz Laghari visited the Command and Control Room and personally monitored the central procession passing through Nashtar Park, Regal Chowk and M.A Jinnah Road. While talking to media he said that with the help of latest technology in CDGK's Command and Control Room, we are getting assistance to make security measures more effective.
He said that 140 cameras are monitoring the central procession and also directing personnel regarding suspected people and vehicle to make prevention of any untoward incident possible. The cameras can rotate 360 degrees to monitor every single person at procession, he added. CCPO said that personnel of Police, Traffic and Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) would also remain present at the Command and Control room round the clock along with Rangers.
