The US President Barack Obama called President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday night and apprised him about the salient features of the just concluded US policy review on Afghanistan. Both the leaders also discussed the situation in the region. President Obama thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for his condolences and warm tributes over the death of Richard Holbrooke, Special US Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari thanked President Obama for apprising him of the substantive elements of the US policy review. The two Presidents also agreed to have a face-to-face meeting soon.
