Federal Minister for Defence, Ahmed Mukhtar has said that PPP would succeed to woo Maulana Fazlur Rehman for return of JUI-F in the coalition government. Talking to media after condoling death of the father of UAE Honorary Counsel General Chaudhry Munir at his residence here on Thursday, he said the PPP leadership has cordial relations with Maulana and it would soon convince him in this regard.
To a question, he said, Pakistan-China friendship spans over more than half century and is based on a very high degree of trust and commonality of interests. As a matter of fact it has matured into a comprehensive strategic partnership, he added. The minister said that during the forthcoming visit of Chinese Prime Minister to Pakistan, both the countries would sign several important agreements in various sectors. Responding to a query on the US demands from Pakistan, he said Pakistan takes decisions in its own interest.
The Minister to another query said that federal government was considering the matter pertaining to imposition of Agricultural Tax on the demand of its coalition partner, the MQM. Earlier, the Federal Minister paid condolence with Chaudhry Munir for the sad demise of his father Chaudhry Hidayatullah. He prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
