Three bogies of Bao Express derail

Three bogies of 229-Up Bao Express train derailed at Bahuman railway station, some 70 kilometres off here on Thursday. According to Railway police, the train left from Lahore and was heading towards Shorkot via Sheikhupura and Jaranwala when its three bogies derailed near Bahuman railway station at 7:30 am. The rescue teams of Pakistan railway cleared the track after four and a half-hours efforts.
The rail traffic at this section has been restored, police added. Police said that some thieves had stolen track, which caused the accident. As many as 36 passengers received minor injuries who were discharged from civil Hospital Sheikhupura after first aid.
