Reacting over the recent statement of American administration and military high ups, Saifullah Khan Niazi Additional Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has cautioned the government to refrain from undertaking any military operation in North Waziristan.
In a press statement issued here on Tuesday, he said indications are that Obama's administration has been hell-bent on a military strike in North Waziristan for which the American generals have been pressuring Pakistan. Niazi appreciated the statement of General Kiyani that it was up to the political leadership to take a decision in the matter and demanded of the government to hold an in-depth debate in parliament over the issue, as to whether or not military operation should take place in North Waziristan.
PTI leader regretted that despite parliament's disapproval of the drone attacks, they are being made with rare abandon, which makes a mockery of the government's stand that it respects the decisions of Parliament. Saifullah Khan said sooner rather than later, the Nato forces will withdraw from Afghanistan, while we have to live with our tribal brethren for ever, therefore, we shouldn't sow seeds of hatred for us in their heart.-PR
