24 Dec, 2010

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday telephoned Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief, Sahibzada Fazal Karim and discussed with him the prevailing political situation, challenges being faced by the country, law and order, inflation and other issues. Altaf said that implementation of RGST would be an injustice with the existing taxpayers of the country and it would provide space to the tax evaders.
He said the country was passing through crucial phase of its history. We are compelled to beg from International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank to run day to day affairs of he country, which is against the honour and prestige of the country, he added.
He said that the increasing inflation had made the life of masses miserable and they were compelled to sell their children due to poverty. He underlined the need to unite the patriotic political parties for pulling out the country from the crises. Sahibzada Fazal Karim supported the stance of Altaf Hussain and said that some elements were hatching conspiracies to destabilise Pakistan.
