Benazir Bhutto murder probe waste of time: Pagaro

25 Dec, 2010

Pakistan Muslim League Functional Chief Pir Pagaro on Friday termed the probe into Benazir Bhutto's assassination "a waste of time." He was talking to media after meeting with Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed at Kingri House. He said the probe is nothing but a sheer waste of time as the murderers are holding powerful positions, he added.
He said there is no possibility of Army take-over, however, in the current scenario changes at government level are inevitable. He said PML-F would support the 'commissioner system' in Sindh. Pir Pagaro said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is engaged in its own problems. However the party is serious towards resolving the issues of the masses, as they are conscious about the problems of the people, he added. Pagaro said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would not rejoin the government.
Sheikh Rasheed said Fazlur Rehman has triggered panic in the system. Change can never happen overnight, as it requires time, according to him. Regarding the stance of MQM, he said Altaf Hussain was moving in the right direction and he hoped he would stand by the masses. According to him, every sector of the government has been hit by corruption.
