Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell (DEC), Jinnah International Airport Unit, has foiled a bid to smuggle white heroin, in the guise of sports gloves, to Australia. According to details, the staff of DEC on Friday intercepted an outbound courier package, booked from Lahore for Australia.
The DEC recovered some 200 grams of fine quality white heroin after thorough examination of a courier containing sports gloves. The heroin was concealed in five pairs of sports gloves. When contacted an official spokesman of Pakistan customs refused to disclose the information regarding the consignor and the recipient, saying that the facts in this regard had been sent to the Australian Customs for further investigation.
