25 Dec, 2010

Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Owais Ahmed Ghani Friday said that the security forces are fully alert to defend the country's geographical frontiers and would forcefully retaliate any eventuality against the sovereignty of the country from across the western borders.
Reacting strongly to a attack by some 150 miscreants on Pakistan's border security posts in Mohmand Agency in the wee hours on Friday, Ghani said the attack is it in-fact an attack on the independence and sovereignty of Pakistan and its people, which the valiant jawans of security forces not only repulsed but inflicted heavy losses to the intruders and compelled them to flee, leaving their dead bodies behind.
Reportedly 21 miscreants were killed and scores injured while three jawans of the security forces embraced martyrdom. Eight more jawans embraced martyrdom when the ammunition store collapsed. This incident, he added proved that the mischievous elements are being tasked from across the border to create anarchic situation in Pakistan and carry out terrorist acts to spread terror and uncertainty.
He further said these miscreants are doing all this to please the enemies of Pakistan and fulfil their agenda of destabilising our country. They will meet their fate in this world as well as the world hereafter as they are appeasing the anti Islam forces, he added. The governor highly appreciated the jawans guarding the security posts on the frontier and said that they were waging real jehad by securing the frontiers of a Muslim country at the costs of their lives. "The entire nation is standing firm behind them and they will always be triumphant and successful at every front", he remarked.
