Chairman Saigol group calls on Prime Minister

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday said Pakistan has already liberalised its economy, with a modern banking sector, growing industrial and agriculture sectors that are making significant contribution in the national economy. He appreciated the private sector for playing its due role in the economic field.
The Prime Minister while talking to Chairman of Saigol Group, Mian Naseem Saigol here at the PM House this afternoon said the government is making concerted efforts to overcome the energy shortage with a view to provide uninterrupted power supply to the industrial sector.
He further said that short, medium and long-term plans to bridge the gap between demand and supply have been prepared in consultation with all the stakeholders. He assured that the government would overcome the energy shortage in the near future on long-term basis. He invited the local business groups to make investment in the power sector. The chairman of Saigol Group thanked the Prime Minister for creating business friendly environment. He assured that his group would study the possibility of making investment in the power generation projects in the country.
