Islamabad Police recovered a dead body of a young lady from Korang Nullah, near Burma town in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Friday. He said that the unknown ill-fated woman is about 22 years of age and had injuries on the back of her head, which shows that the lady was tortured to death. The body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and her picture was released, spokesman added.
Shahzad Town Police has registered case and appealed people to provide information regarding the woman to Arshad Ali Investigation Officer on his cell-number 0300-5117303. Islamabad Police nabbed six outlaws for their alleged involvement in illegal arms and drug smuggling and recovered four pistols, one 12-bore gun with 23 rounds and two kilogram opium from their possession.
Bara Kahu Police during a routine checking recovered a pistol (30-bore) and five bullets from Aftab Hussain and a 12-bore gun from another outlaw Omraiz. Tarnol Police stopped a lady smuggler at Motorway Morr and during the course of checking two kilogram opium was recovered from her possession, whereas, Industrial Area Police recovered three pistols from three different persons.
During routine checking police team led by SI Nawazish Ali recovered one pistol 30-bore and six bullets from Anjum Parvaiz, one pistol 30-bore and five bullets from Aijaz Ahmed, while one pistol 30-bore and six bullets from third accused Yar Muhammad. Separate cases were registered against detained accused and further investigation is in progress.
