Traders urged to benefit from RAK FTZ

Ambassador of Pakistan in UAE Jamil Ahmad Khan said on Saturday that Pakistani businessmen must take advantage of close trade ties as well as attractive business environment created by the RAK FTZ (UAE) for promoting their business.
"We are extremely happy to see that world-class facilities and services are on offer at RAK FTZ for doing business of which Pakistani businessmen should take maximum advantage," he said this during his visit to Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade zone Authority in RAK, says a press release received from UAE here today.
He noted with satisfaction that Pakistani businessmen are already maximising on the facilities offered by RAK FTZ and doing good business in UAE. He lauded incumbent ruler's father, the late Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qassimi's great vision, who remained an iconic person and gave tremendous progress to his emirate in all fields especially in developing trade and industry of which RAK Free Trade Zone is a symbol.
Earlier on arrival the Ambassador was briefed in detail by CEO of RAK FTZ Oussama El Omari on the strategic steps undertaken by RAK FTZ amidst the global economic upheavals, investment opportunities on offer at RAK FTZ, future plans, and industries operating at the zone, as well as the tourism potential RAK holds.
Oussama El Omari said: "We are very happy and honoured to receive HE Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan in Ras Al Khaimah." Pakistan, he said is a very important market for us as it is an economic force just waiting to be tapped. Even in the face of the global economic downturn, it continues to exhibit great potential, with rich natural resources and burgeoning enterprises", he added.
With Ambassador Khan's arrival to the UAE to take over the helm of the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, they are looking forward to strengthening their ties and further develop trade relations with Pakistan. RAK Free Trade Zone has a lot to offer for Pakistani businesses especially the small and medium size organisations," he further added.
