President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Mobile Banking named after Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being started in Pakistan for the first time. The Mobile Banking will help promote E-banking, he further said.
Addressing a ceremony to inaugurate Benazir Bhutto Mobile Banking here on Sunday, a day prior to the third death anniversary of the martyred leader, the President said that the value of one card of Benazir Mobile Banking is equivalent to Rs3,000.
The President said the facility of Women Protection and Rescue will also be incorporated in this Card which will enable the user to register a complaint against any police personnel or any one committing excess.
This mobile phone will provide every kind of product, he added. President Asif Zardari said that GPRS has been introduced for the purchase of buffaloes through the phone to help prevent illegal disposal of the purchased buffaloes.
The President said that he would continue to serve the masses without caring about the political actors.
The provinces, the President said, have a right over their resources which shall be provided to them. Sindh has right over its natural gas, Punjab has right over its gas reserve and Balochistan has right over the natural gas there, the President said.
He said no appreciation was extended to them when Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto were alive, however, appreciation was being showered on them now.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had given the slogan of "Roti, Kapra, Makan" and the Party is striving for the implementation of this slogan, he added. He said industrial zones would be established for addressing the issue of unemployment. President Zardari assured his party's followers that he would fulfil their expectations.
He said the present government was doing its utmost for the progress and uplift of women and pointed out that several steps were being taken in this behalf.
"We have set our direction in accordance with the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto," the President said adding, "Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto are alive and immortal."
Those present at the ceremony included Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Ms. Farzana Raja, Federal Ministers Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Syed Naveed Qamar, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, a large number of party workers, supporters and women among others.
