All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) has decided to counter the efforts for imposing anti dumping duty on imported paper by the local manufacturers. The decision was taken in the meeting presided by President APPMA, Sami-Ulla Butt. Chairman APPMA, Pervez Raza, former Chairman, Saleem Memon and Vice Chairman, Fazal Karim Chaudhry were also present.
A resolution was passed in the meeting, which condemned the increase in the prices of paper. It was also demanded that paper imported under tariff H.S Code No: 4802 should be exempted from all kinds of duties because it was used for educational purposes. APPMA also announced their support for the strike call given by Tahaffuz-e-Khatme-Naboowat on Friday (today).
