Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that by acquiring the modern education, students of Deeni Madaris can play an active role for the establishment of a balanced society. Learned Ulema by introducing science and computer subjects in the curriculum of Madaris have fulfilled the demand of present era.
He expressed these views while meeting the Professor of Durbun University of South Africa, Dr Syed Salman Nadvi in Jamia-e-Ashrafia here on Friday. Molana Fazal-ur-Rahim, Hafiz Asad Ubaid, Molana Muhammad Salah-ud-din, Molana Samiullah Haqani and other scholars were also present on the occasion. The Senior Advisor also visited the IT Center and Audio visual Language Lab of Jamia.
Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that Jamia-e-Ashrafia is one of the prominent institutions of Islamic World. The students of this institution are rendering commendable services for the promotion of Islamic studies throughout the world. It is pertinent to mention that our Ulema are aware of the education needs of present era and they have introduced math, science and social sciences in their Madaris. In addition to that the management of Jamia-e-Ashrafia by starting Fatwa online, Mofti online Tajveed software and online Tafseer lessons has provided easy access to Muslims of Pakistan and Western World and the people interested in Islam through information technology. This fact is above board that the curriculum of Jamia-e-Ashrafia is beautiful combination of religious and modern subjects.
Molana Salah-ud-din told the Senior Advisor that Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has duly recognised degree of Jamia-e-Ashrafia and declared it equivalent to MA. He further stated that the students are taught modern Arabic and English with the help of audio-visual lab.
