Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that comparing him to deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is like comparing him to 'Sultana Daku'.
The PTI chief said this while speaking to the media on Friday. While accusing Sharif, Imran said the deposed PM has stolen Pakistan's Rs 30 billion and laundered it abroad. He claimed that Sharif is Pakistan's criminal who, for his own sake, has caused harm to the country.
Referring to the time when the Supreme Court issued directives against former PM Yousuf Raza Gillani, Imran said that at that time Sharif had said the court’s decision should be respected.
Khan was addressing the media after his hearing in Anti-Terrorism Court regarding four cases concerning attacks on senior superintendent of police, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) office and Parliament during sit-ins back in 2015 and forcibly releasing the suspects.
The hearing was conducted by Justice Shahrukh Arjumand, who directed instructed PTI chief to cooperate with the investigation officers and record his statements in all four cases, local media reported.
Condemning the terrorism cases on political activists, Khan said that as many as 60 documents were submitted to the court in State Television PTV attack case filed against him and other PTI workers. “If a single document is found misleading or incorrect, I would quit politics,” he stated.
