'CBC to resolve issues of adjoining Kachi Abadis'

President Cantonment Board Clifton, Station Commander Brigadier Anis Ahmed, while expressing his views in a meeting with a delegation of Kachi Abadi, said that CBC will soon try to provide drinking water to all the areas under it. All the legal issues of Kachi Abadis will be resolved immediately but illegal construction and unfair recommendation of land mafia will not be tolerated.
While addressing the delegation, he said CBC has started process of resolving the issues of Kachi Abadis. He asked the residents to collect funds from the national and provincial representatives of their area. He further said CBC would resolve the issues of Kachi Abadis from the tax paid by the defence area residents, adding that it is very difficult because the revenue generated from that is less than the expenses.
He informed the delegation that CBC has decided to build a new filtration plant in Kachi Abadi, new overhead bridge and change the place of Kachra Kundi at Khaliq-uz-Zaman road. The dispensary of Punjab Colony will be transformed into a mini hospital where poor people will get many facilities. Brigadier Anis also said CBC is organising its enforcement cell and vigilance team so that illegal work could be halted. He stressed that CBC should improve organisational culture and working improvements and deal with public in good manners.
Earlier, members of the delegation stated problems of their areas and gave suggestions for resolving the issues of Kachi Abadis, including Punjab Colony, Upper Gizri, Dehli Colony, Jamhoria Colony, Bakhshan Village, Chandio Village, and Clifton Block 8/9. Muhammad Hayat Mahar CEO CBC, Addl. CEO-I Basit Saleem Addl. CEO-II Syed Zaki Haider, Lieutenant Colonel Abrar Hussain and A.S Javed Mehmood also attended the meeting.-PR
