Tributes paid to Z A Bhutto

Minister for Population Welfare Punjab, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry, has said that Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto struggled for the rights of deprived segment of the society. While addressing the workers of PPP at a function held in connection with 83rd birth anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, she said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave the unanimous Constitution of 1973 for the supremacy of the parliament and also started the atomic programme.
Similarly, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto gave the missile technology for national defence. She said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto not only got 90 thousand prisoners released from India but also 6000 sq miles of the Pakistan territory from Indian occupation.
She said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto started revolutionarily programmes for the welfare as well as social and economic betterment of poor people and labourers. She said Quaid-e-Awam established Islamabad University (Now Quaid-e-Azam University), People's Open University (Now Allama Iqbal Open University), Gomal University, National Book Foundation and the significance of these institutions are internationally acclaimed.
