National Assembly session put off

Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Fehmida Mirza Wednesday adjourned the House till today (Thursday) after the reports of death of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer came in. After recitation from the Holy Quran, Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan expressed sorrow over the death of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer and said it was painful and heartbreaking incident. He strongly condemned the murder.
Sheikh Rohale Asghar of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that it is very tragic incident and we should learn from it. "We condemn the incident. The law and order situation in Pakistan is a very serious issue," he said. Hamid Kazmi of PPP also condemned the incident and prayed for peace and security of Pakistan. The Speaker said it was very sad incident and the House is adjourned till today (Thursday).
