KMDA President for judicial probe into son's killing

President, Karachi Motorcycle Dealers Association (KMDA), Mohammad Naeem Qureshi has urged the government to appoint a judge for conducting judicial inquiry into the killing of his son, Salman, and his friend, Jameel, reportedly by a drunken but influential car driver on New Year night.
Addressing a press conference here at Karachi Press Club on Tuesday he said that his son Salman was the owner of STO marble factory, and was contributing to national exchequer in form of income tax and sales tax annually. According to Qureshi, Salman and Jameel were returning on a bike after recovery of Rs 150,000 when they were hit and crushed by black Corolla No ALB-376 by 'drunken' driver Ishaq Khan.
He alleged the police did take the victims to hospital. After long struggle Ferozabad Police registered FIR, however, the sections under which the FIR was registered entail less punishment. He said his son had been receiving threatening phone calls from extortionists and they registered written complaints in Brigade Police station but no action was taken by the police.
When police found the bodies, they reportedly aired message on wireless that two dacoits had been killed and amount of Rs 1,50,000 were recovered from them including one licensed pistol and cell phones, he added. He demanded of the government to suspend all officials of Ferozabad Police Station including SHO Yaqoob Samoon. He appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the incident.
