Secretary General, Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri has said his party will keep on supporting the federal government on issues of national interest but will not rejoin the coalition government.
Talking to journalists outside Parliament House here on Friday, he said that the JUI-F would support the government on the issues of national interests but as for as the question of rejoining the federal government is concerned, "it is out of question, as the party had already decided to sit on opposition benches."
"This country belongs to all and it needs co-operation of all", he said, adding that the JUI-F will continue to support decisions like the reversal of increase in petroleum products prices. He said that there had been no problem if all the decisions were taken with consultation of all the stakeholders.
He called for complete consensus on national issues to steer the country out of the prevailing crisis. About Governor Salmaan Taseer's murder, Hairdi said that they had to wait for completion of the investigation. He was of the view that major opposition parties should bring no confidence motion against the prime minister.
