Subdued business was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Saturday as both buyers and sellers failed to come on meeting ground, dealers said. On the grams side grams Australia low type gained Rs 10 to Rs 5400 and good type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 5650. Grams dal Australia low type was sharply up by Rs 900 to Rs 6600 and inferior type gained Rs 950 to Rs 6850, other items did not move in the absence of buyers, they added.
On the seed side only one change was seen as the cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 10 to Rs 1260 and better quality was higher at Rs 1290, other items maintained overnight levels in process of slow trading, they said. Rates on the cereal and rice sectors remained unchanged due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
