The biotechnology has become world major industry to produce all out preventive vaccines against human as well as livestock. This was stated by University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz. While addressing the inaugural session of national workshop titled, "Molecular Diagnostics" organised by UVAS institute of biochemistry and biotechnology in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) here on Tuesday at conference hall.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz said that Pakistan could progress leaps and bounds by adopting the new vista of research and developing sciences. He called upon the pharmaceutical entrepreneur and businessmen to make join hand with UVAS with its unique project Lahore Bio Technology Park. Dr Nawaz said that, "Pakistan is importing preventive diagnostic and therapeutic biological for use in animals and human worth billions of dollars and only the poultry import is nearly Rs 6 billion per annum".
