'Terrorism affecting mental health of people'

Well-known psychiatrist Professor Khalid Mufti has said that terrorism, suicide attacks and lawlessness are affecting the mental health of the people. Addressing a luncheon held in honour of the Engineer Khalid Rauf, writer of a recently published poetry collection under the auspices of Horizon, a local non-governmental organisation.
Dr Khalid Mufti said that Islam has not allowed killings and terror, and stressed for following the principles of Islam to remove the prevailing confusion from the society.
He paid tributes to the writer of the poetry collection and said that the manner in which he had delivered his message while keeping in the changing international situation in the world. Dr Khalid Mufti said that hunger is forcing people to commit suicides and called for the role in curbing the anti-Islamic act. A large number of poets, researchers and columnists also attended the function.-PR
