Speaking to journalists, Rasheed said sub-standard gas heaters were being manufactured and sold in markets which causing suffocation to death because of gas leakage and automatically releasing it in case of gas supply restoration after a little suspension of the supply.
Ms Nasreen said in western countries, as per the rules and regulations, companies were bound to manufacture gas heaters, which automatically turned off in case of gas supply suspension due to any reason. She maintained that after restoration of gas supply, those heaters did not release gas until the consumer turns them on.
