Six held, arms seized

Capital Police during its on-going anti-outlaws drive nabbed six persons, including a woman and seized three pistols 30-bore, five magazines and 27 bullets, 1.870kg hashish, 130 gram heroin and stolen items worth Rs 150,000 from their possession.
Shalimar Police held an accused Asif Shehzad for his alleged involvement in theft and recovered stolen items, including gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 150,000 from the detainees, said a spokesman of Islamabad police here on Thursday.
Tarnol Police arrested four outlaws, including a lady smuggler and during the preliminary investigation 1.870kg hashish, 130-gram heroin, pistol and magazines were recovered from their possession. The detained outlaws were identified as Aakash, Sheeraz, Saleem and Misbah Noreen. Bhara Kahu Police during routine search arrested an accused Ummat Khan for having two 30 bore pistols and six rounds. The spokesman said that cases were registered against the nabbed outlaws and further investigation is underway.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has directed the security personnel to further enhance vigilance against anti-social elements to ensure peace in the city, he added.
