A documentary film on 30-year long career of singer-turned-religious scholar Junaid Jamshed will be released on December 1. Helmed by Pakistani-American director Imran Ahmed Khan, the movie also showcased last conversation by the religious scholar who died in a plane crash.
Imran Ahmad Khan also told a local media that his film will show the secret aspects of Jamshed’s life as a kind person.
Jamshed started his singing career in 1980s as lead singer of Vital Signs band. He was a man of many labels – a trendsetter, a spiritual inspiration, the centre of much media attention and never far from controversy.
He died in a plane crash on the way to Islamabad from Chitral on December 7, 2016.
