Flood relief: sixth Saudi convoy to arrive on January 17

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad has the pleasure to announce that under the directives of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and the direct supervision of Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the custodian of the two holy mosques, campaign for relief of brotherly people of Pakistan, sixth convoy will reach the affected areas on Monday.
The convoy that is intended for winter relief to the affected people of the devastating flood, comprising more than 550 trucks, will reach out to more than 36 affected districts in five different regions including Kashmir and tribal areas. The trucks containing about 150,000 quilts and 130 tons of dates and 50 tons of liquid milk, to be donated amongst 70,000 affected families, were shipped from Saudi Arabia under the in-kind material donation.
A launching ceremony of the convoy will be held on January 17 here, which will be attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer and a number of governmental officials and officials of National Disaster Management Authority of the Pakistani government.-PR
