South Punjab province vital for people's rights: Jatoi

Former Federal Minister Qayyum Jatoi Sunday said South Punjab, as a separate province was vital to ensure rights to people of the region. Talking to the media after meeting PPP leader Rana Amjad, he said that all development budget was spent in upper Punjab while most rural areas in South Punjab were without schools and health facilities.
Highlighting the miserable condition of degree colleges in Shehr Sultan and Jatoi, he criticised the provincial government for not deputing staff to teach students in the colleges in three years.
He said people of South Punjab were now better aware of their rights. He said Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani would lay foundation of several mega projects in Muzaffargarh next month. He credited the federal government with all development projects across South Punjab. Rao Masood, Ch Amir, Rana Mohammad Ali, Rana Farzand Ali, Dilshad Ahmad, Mohammad Aslam, Rana Abdul Ahad, Rana Waqas, Mohammad Touqeer and other party workers were also present.
