18 Jan, 2011

Due to security concerns, slain governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer's murder case was transferred to Adiala Jail, a private TV channel reported Monday. According to the channel, Interior Ministry has shifted the hearing of Salmaan Taseer murder case to Adiala Jail by accepting the plea of police.
Police maintained in the application that it was not out of danger to present Taseer's killer before Anti-Terrorism Court. Deteriorating law and order situation is also a danger and therefor the case should be shifted to Adial Jail. The court will hear the case on January 24 in Adiala Jail, the channel added.
