Drone attacks: petition filed before apex court

A constitutional petition has been filed before the Supreme Court praying to declare American drone attacks against the sanctity and independence of Pakistan. Advocate Rana Ilamudin Ghazi filed this petition at Lahore registry of the apex court saying thousands of innocent Pakistani citizens had been killed due to drone attacks.
He said there was a common impression that America had been conducting drone attacks on Pakistan soil following a formal agreement and the same should be made public, the petitioner added. The petitioner, therefore, prayed that the federal government be directed to get drone attacks stopped on Pakistani soil.
