As many as 18 commandos of elite force deputed at the Lahore High Court (LHC) for security of Chief Justice refused to serve at the court premises on Tuesday. According to sources the elite force officials were annoyed over long working hours and protesting against it they informed the security incharge of the court that they can not do 24 hours duty at the court.
The high-ups in the Elite Force sent a new batch of equal number of Elite commandos for ensuring security of Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry. The angry commandos said by doing duty for 24 hours they do not find free time to take rest and unable to remain alert for performing their duty up to the standards of the Elite force.
The commandos told the media men requesting not to publish their name "We bring chief justice to the court in the morning under security and later we are unfairly asked to keep standing on foot for surveillance whole day at the court and in evening when the CJ leaves for home they move with him and then stay there whole night, which was unfair, inhuman and unjust". The Elite staffers left their assigned positions in front of court of Chief Justice and gathered at the office of DSP security Lahore High Court to register protest.
