'Government to resolve residential problem of journalists'

Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said the government is fully aware of the residential problems being faced by the journalist community and it would utilise all available resources to resolve their issue.
He said that Punjab Chief Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has also taken briefing from officials of Board of Revenue, Law and Finance Departments in this regard. He expressed these views in a meeting with a 28-member delegation of newly elected members of Faisalabad Press Club at Punjab Assembly here on Tuesday.
The delegation was led by President Punjab Union of Journalists (Dastoor), S. Amjad. The other members of the delegation included President Press Club, Sajjad Haider, Vice President, Saeed Somi, General Secretary, Hamid Rafiq and Finance Secretary, Zikarullah Hasni besides members of Governing Body. Members Provincial Assembly, Kh. Muhamamd Islam, Rana Muhammad Afzal, Khalil Tahir Sandhu and Rao Kashif Rahim were also present on the occasion.
Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the services rendered by the journalist community for restoration of democracy in Pakistan were unforgettable. Regarding construction and repair of building of Faisalabad Press Club, Rana Sanaullah said that state-of-the-art construction of the said building would be made. He asked the members of the delegation to submit him estimated cost in this regard so that funds could be made available during the current financial year. He emphasised upon the need to create understanding between government and the media on all issues to achieve the target of public service.
