A police personnel was shot dead while another sustained bullet injuries in an attack on police mobile team here at Zarghoonabad area on Wednesday. SHO, Zarghoonabad Police Station, Ajab Khan Kakar told this scribe, that the police mobile team was on routine patrolling. Armed men fired gunshots at the mobile team when they tried to stop and interrogate them finding their movements as suspicious.
Resultantly, one cop Mohib died instantly while a constable Kabir suffered bullet wound. He was shifted to Civil Hospital. The assailants managed to escape the scene. Police, soon after the incident, cordoned off the area and launched search for the arrest of the perpetrators. A case has been registered against unknown accused.
