Government urged to withdraw decision: KESC employees sacked

Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) has urged the government not to make retrenchment at Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and withdraw its decision of retrenching 4,500 workers. CBA's Additional Secretary, Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah and other office bearers, in a meeting held here Friday, expressed their concern over the decision that has caused unrest among the workers. They termed the decision 'economic death'.
They also urged the government to enhance institutions' productivity through deployment of enlightened management and promoting teamwork among the workers.
