JI leaders grieved over Maulana Ashrafi's death

The top leadership of the Jamaat- e-Islami including JI chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, former chief, Qazi Husain Ahmed, deputy chiefs Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Saleemi, Sirajul Haq and Dr Muhammad Kamal, Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch, have expressed deep grief over the sad demise of eminent religious scholar Maulana Abdur Rehman Ashrafi.
They said that Maulana Abdur Rehman Ashrafi, was a great Muslim scholar and a messenger of sectarian tolerance who had ideal relations with leaders of different schools of thought. The deceased had devoted his entire life for the service of Islam. They prayed that Almighty Allah may accept the services of the deceased and reward him for that.
Meanwhile, a high level JI team comprising deputy chief Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Saleemi, Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha and Hafiz Muhammad Idrees attended the Namaz- e- Janaza of the deceased.
