Minister Population Welfare Punjab Neelam Jabbar has said that the philosophy of Bhutto will be remembered forever and Pakistan People's Party would fulfil the mission of Shaheed Quaid.
While talking to various delegations at her residence, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry said that the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the only leader of Pakistan, who had international exposure and international community respected him. She said that founder chairman of Pakistan People's Party and former Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a legitimate leader and statesman of this country and his struggle for providing rights to the oppressed people were unprecedented in the political history of Pakistan.
The minister said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the voice of the poor and he worked hard for the welfare of the poor in the country. Party's manifesto clearly contains the concepts of women's welfare and population welfare, which unfortunately have not materialised so far, however, we will make every effort to materialise her vision in letter and in spirit.
She said that the mission of Shaheed leader would be fulfilled at every cost because he was the symbol of struggle for the rights of people, she added. She said that the philosophy and ideology politics of our leader was to uplift the poor and provide basic facilities to the people. Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry said that safe delivery centres (SDCs) would be established at union council level to reduce mother and child mortality incidence, especially in far-flung areas of the province.
The minister said that with concern that mother and child mortality rate is high in remote areas due to inept handling by illiterate and unskilled midwives. Neelam Jabbar has said that health, education, law and order and other sectors faced a decay during the eight years of dictatorship, however, the present government has ensured modern health facilities and free medicines to the poor and resource less people.
