Dawood Public School: students raise Rs 0.2 million for Children Cancer Hospital

The Management and Students of Dawood Public School have raised Rs 2 Lakh for Children Cancer Hospital by organising a fun & food carnival at its premises. The Carnival was organised to provide the children with an opportunity to entertain and learn to contribute towards the noble causes.
Around 100 stalls of food, books, toys, games, dresses, handicrafts, jewellery and face painting were set-up by the students and alumni of Dawood Public School, which were visited by thousand of visitors that include the families of DPS's students as well as general masses.
The theme of the Carnival was to "Help the Children Suffering from Cancer" and all the income generated from the Carnival has been donated to Children Cancer Hospital, which is a project of children cancer foundation Pakistan trust, the only hospital exclusively dedicated for the care of children suffering from cancer in Pakistan.
The Band of Pakistan Navy was specially invited in the event to display their drumming skills for entertaining the visitors.
Chief Executive, Dawood Public School, Sabrina Dawood said that we want to inculcate the habit of contributing and donating for the noble causes among our students, that's the reason we have linked such extra curricular activities with the charitable cause like helping out to children suffering from cancer.
A student at Dawood Public School said that, our little contribution may alleviate all their sufferings but we want to show that we care for the patients suffering from cancer.-PR
