APC to get positive response in Sindh: Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that All Parties Conference (APC) will bring a positive response in Sindh province. He was talking to media persons after holding a meeting with veteran politician and chief of PML(F) Pir Pagaro at Kingri House on Friday. The Prime Minister said the government will continue its policy of reconciliation on all issues of national importance.
To a question about his meeting with Pir Pagaro, he said that present political situation, socio-economic issues and law and order was discussed with the veteran politician. He said the government alone could not solve the problems being faced by the nation. He further said that all political parties should extend co-operation to the government in this regard.
Gilani said that independent judiciary, free media and strong institutions were priorities of the government. About Thursday's incident in Lahore in which three persons were allegedly killed in a shootout by a staffer of American consulate, the Prime Minister condemned the incident. "I condemn the incident and action will be taken according to the law and investigation is underway," he added.
