NICL land scam: 'Maalik never implicated any political personality'

Pakistan Muslim League, Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q)'s Secretary Information, Kamil Ali Agha has said that Muhammad Maalik, one of the accused in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam case, never implicated any political personality in the case.
Revealing Maalik's court statement, he claimed that there has been a systematic campaign of slander and false allegations, which are aimed at wrongly implicating Moonis Elahi in the case. He said that a statement has been attributed to Muhammad Maalik, Manager, At-Tahur Co, wherein he is alleged to have stated, during interrogation by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), that an amount of rupees 220 million was given to Moonis Elahi. He claimed that these facts are contrary to FIA's claims.
According to him, Muhammad Maalik, in a statement before a court of law in Lahore, has in fact stated that neither he is concerned with the account numbers and cheques nor opened any account, which is mentioned in the FIR. Maalik said that neither he deposited the cheques nor drawn any amount and FIA personnel had pressurised and mentally tortured him to record his statement against some political personalities, he maintained.
