Six judges of Supreme Court to retire this year

Six judges of the Supreme Court four of them permanent and two ad hoc will retire in this year according to the record of the apex court. Judges who will retire in different months of this year are Justice Javed Iqbal on July 31, 2011, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed on May 31, 2011, Justice Muhammad Sair Ali on December 11, 2011, Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui on October 13, 2011, Ad hoc judge Justice Ghulam Rabbani on October 19, 2011 and Ad hoc judge Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday on February 18, 2011.
Three of them Justice Muhammad Sair Ali, Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui and Justice khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday are belonging to Punjab, two of them Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed from Balochistan and Justice Ghulam Rabbani is from the province of Sindh.
At this time Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and fifteen other judges including Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Tassadduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain, Justice Muhammad Sair Ali, Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Tariq Parvez Khan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday are fuctioning in the apex court. It may be mentioned here that Justice Zahid Hussain Bukhari is facing contempt of court case according to the judgement passed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 31, 2009.
