Exhibition of Japanese calendars commences

An exhibition of Japanese calendars commenced here on Friday. The weeklong event is being organised at the Japan Cultural Centre of the Consulate General of Japan in Karachi in collaboration with the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association (PJCA), Sindh, and Pakistan-Japan Business Forum (PJBF).
Life chairperson of PJCA Sindh Fatima Surriya Bajia and president of PJBF Abdul Kader Jaffer, were the chief guests and performed the inauguration along with Consul General of Japan in Karachi Masaharu Sato. As many as 150 calendars depicting various aspects of the Japanese life and industrial, cultural and other activities have been put on display.
Fatima Surriya Bajia and Abdul Kader Jaffer appreciated the beauty of Japanese calendars. Consul General of Japan, Masaharu Sato, spoke of the wide range of Japanese culture. He further stated that the calendar is one of the most effective tools to carry the true spirit of Japan to the foreigners.
