The profit after tax of Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (ACPL) has declined to Rs 235.101 million in the half year period ended December 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 623.815 million earned in the corresponding period in 2009. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday at Damascus, Syria declared that the company's earning per share stood at Rs 2.72 in the period under review against Rs 7.20 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's net sales increased to Rs 3.785 billion in half year period in 2010 against Rs 3.731 billion in the same period in 2009. The cost of sales increased to Rs 3.195 billion against Rs 2.642 billion. The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 301.280 million in the half year period in 2010 against Rs 792.379 million in the same period in 2009.
