Four cops among eight hurt in Quetta blast

Eight people including four policemen sustained serious injuries when a bomb ripped through a vehicle parked besides house of a police official on Alamdar Road on Saturday. Talking to media persons, DIG Operation Quetta Hamid Shakeel said unidentified men had parked a vehicle near house of a police official, which was detonated with remote control.
Resultantly, eight persons including four security guards of the police official and four passers-by sustained injuries. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital.
The DIG Operation further said that the police official was target of the explosion. The explosion also partially damaged nearby houses. The vehicle in which the bomb was planted totally destroyed. The Law Enforcement Agencies and police had reached the place and put a cordon around the affected site. The police have commenced search operation to trace out and arrest the accused.
